Engineer & founder of ETCH knives

Aymeric Perrot: Engineer and founder of ETCH knives

Aymeric Perrot is a French entrepreneur and engineer, a graduate of CentraleSupélec . An expert in business strategy and passionate about raw materials, he is the founder of the ETCH cutlery brand, launched in 2022. His unique approach merges technological precision, strategic consulting, and the preservation of French artisanal heritage.

Career Path: From Engineering to the Art of Tableware

At 35 years old, Aymeric has built his expertise at the intersection of innovation and complex project management. In 2021, he founded Aymeric Perrot Conseil in Paris, a simplified joint-stock company (SASU) dedicated to supporting businesses in their growth (pricing, due diligence, market research).

It is this dual role of strategist and technician that gave birth to ETCH . Faced with the decline of traditional cutlery, Aymeric mobilized his engineering expertise to rethink the kitchen knife: a tool that is efficient, durable and accessible, designed without unnecessary frills.

The ETCH Vision: Excellence in Made in France

Under the leadership of Aymeric Perrot, the ETCH brand has established itself as a bridge between two worlds:

  • The Thiers Heritage: The stainless steel blades are forged in the historic capital of cutlery, guaranteeing a professional edge for domestic use.

  • Breton Design: The handles are crafted from cherry wood in Brittany, providing an organic aesthetic and ergonomics inspired by Japanese minimalism.

  • Local Commitment: Aymeric ensures total traceability and 100% French production, reintroducing innovation into an age-old sector.

"My goal with ETCH is to create 'the right tool'. One that combines the technical expertise of an engineer with the sensitivity of a craftsman to support every amateur cook for decades."Aymeric Perrot

Expertise & Areas of Intervention

Beyond manufacturing, Aymeric works as an independent consultant (NAF code 70.22Z) on critical issues related to project management (PMO) and business model optimization. This synergy between hands-on production management (ETCH) and strategic consulting makes him a unique voice in the French entrepreneurial ecosystem.
